Aston-on-Trent is located in South Derbyshire 6 miles SE of Derby 2 miles from Shardlow. Separated from Leicestershire by the river. It is an unspoilt village and was inhabited long before the Saxons named it "East Farm", as witness the recently discovered wrist-guard of a bronze age archer.
