Other Information : This is Westgate, A new apartment block built by Radleigh Homes in 2003-2004. It consits of 24 two bedroom apartments with allocated parking at the rear. These are aimed at profesional couples. These were built on the site of the former popular cinema.

St Johns Church
The building contractor was Thomas Cooper, Messers Bridgart were the joiners, William Horsley did the plumbing and glazing, Messers Whitehead, Glover and Co. the ironwork, William Searle the plastering and Messers Welsh the painting, with Thomas Mason overseeing the work.

There used to be cupolas on the top of the castellated parts of this church but these were removed as they were found to be unsafe due to the rusting ironwork beneath.
