All of the photographs on this page have been taken by me using a digital camera apart from the two images from Central News TV which I digitised using a WinTv PCI card.

• Photos of Xmas 2001 lights, Derby, Derbyshire, England.
The 2001 Christmas lights in the town centre were switched on by Bob the Builder at 18:20 on Thursday 8th November. This year, Derby was the first City in the East Midlands to switch on its lights. This was shown LIVE on Central News. This event was held in Derby's Market Place and was attended by thousands of people. I have never been to one of these events before, But I really enjoyed the atmosphere. Next year I will reserve a good vantage point before hand and use a Tripod.
