Description : The Reindeer Inn pub Image Reference No. : DP-OLDJDCOL-10 Original photo supplied to me by : Jane Donald Approx Date of photo : Late 1960's Other Information : This is the Reindeer Inn pub which was located on the corner of Earl street and Eagle street. This pub existed in 1862, it was bought by Offilers in 1893. The pub was issued with a compulsory purchase order in 1965 but did not close until 15th March 1970. In the background to the right there is a Morris 1100 police car, and to the left you can see the office block which is present now sited near the Main Centre. |
