• Photos of Windley, Derbyshire, England
Windley is a very tiny village located on the edge of the Peak District near Turnditch, on the B5023 road. Windley hall is the first major building that you see as you enter the village from the B5023 down Windley lane. In the grounds of the hall is The Old Cheese Factory which was originally a 17th century malt house but is now a rather nice looking luxury holiday home which you can stay in.

The village consists mainly of farms which are spread out from the main road. I would say there can be no more than about 30 houses here, So its a very quiet place to live.

Other Information : This is a typical view at Windley as it is surrounded by wonderful open countryside. This is the view looking west part way up Windley lane. Even though it was raining on the day I took these photos, the view was still splendid. A place I would like to see in the summer!
